Professional Development Opportunities

Teaching Institutes and Seminars at Brown University

Teaching institutes and seminars engage participants in scholarship on a topic and provide opportunities to explore ways to incorporate the Choices Program’s resources and approach to make these topics come alive for students in their classrooms.

Conferences and Workshops

The Choices Program offers introductory workshops at professional conferences. Educators can also find us in the exhibit hall at national and regional conferences.

District Collaborations

In-service programs introduce teachers to Choices resources and focus on the Choices approach to addressing contested current and historical international issues.

Teaching American History

The Choices Program works with school districts to provide professional development for their teachers as part of Teaching American History grants.
