Thoughts on Adapting the Capitol Forum Program
The Capitol Forum involves students in informed deliberation on international issues with their peers. Alternative models allow for any content topics that fit the curriculum and inform the ultimate question of the role of the United States in the world. See New Forum Models for a sampling of Capitol Forum adaptations.
What teachers are saying
“We were looking for a way to conclude our year-long expedition on human rights titled "The Human Face of Human Rights,” said Stephanie Doane of Casco Bay High School in Portland, Maine. “We studied both historical and current human rights issues. The focus of the forum, U.S. policy on genocide, was the perfect conclusion to our expedition.” See a description of the Portland Forum on Genocide.
