The
Cuban Missile Crisis
Cuban
Missile Crisis – What if?
Scenario
#1
The
U.S. has discovered that the Soviets are installing nuclear missile launch sites
in Cuba. The U.S. will pursue purely diplomatic actions through the United Nations
in order to pressure the Soviets to remove the missiles from Cuba. The U.S.
will also work with the OAS (Organization of American States) to also bring
pressure on Cuba. The U.S. would be willing to publicly eliminate the U.S. Jupiter
missiles in Turkey in exchange for the withdrawal of Soviet missiles from Cuba.
