  1. With your group, complete the chart using the material found on the websites listed. Your task is to compare Colin Powell's speech to that of Adlai Stevenson. Using what you know, try also to note the effects of the speech on U.S. history and security, and decide which speech was the more effective. As a group you will present your findings to the class following the rubric on Day 1.
  2. With your group, choose one other option (A-E, listed below) in order to create a final project on Day 2 demonstrating your group's findings and opinions. Be sure to note sources. Follow the rubric!
Options

A) Write an editorial about one of the speeches which discusses what U.S. policy should be

B) Draw a political cartoon editorializing one speech or comparing the two

C) Create a power point presentation which compares the two speeches

D) Re-write your group's choice of the less effective speech to the U.N. using factors which you felt would have made it more successful, and deliver it

E) Design a poster which summarizes the findings from your research and investigation

F) Create your own option with teacher approval
