Join the Choices Program for a session at the EuroClio Conference in Lithuania. This session will introduce two Choices Program curriculum units: Confronting Genocide: Never Again? and The Syrian Civil War. Each unit uses a different pedagogy to support student inquiry and discussion of complex historical issues. Participants will try out an (abbreviated) lesson from the Confronting Genocide unit, preview a Perspectives Activity from The Syrian Civil War unit, and discuss ways that the methodology in each unit can be adapted to other topics and various classroom settings.

Mimi is the Director of Professional Development for the Choices Program. Prior to joining the Choices Program in 2011, Mimi worked at Clark University where she served as the Director of the Teacher Center for Global Studies supporting K12 social studies teachers throughout Massachusetts for more than 20 years. Mimi holds a Masters in International Development and Social Change from Clark University.
